Hello,
I really need help. I purchased a Nektar Pacer, but I was disappointed with its integration with Live and the fact that there are two buttons that cannot be programmed.
After doing some research, I found CSS, which gave me hope. So, I bought the software and watched almost all the tutorials. It seemed simple. I created my Pacer template, which looks quite realistic, but the problem is that when I started adding functions just to test if it worked, well, it doesn't work. Even the simplest things don't work. Every time I try to assign a simple function to a button, I can't figure out what's wrong. It's driving me crazy. I've tried assigning all sorts of controls to each button, but nothing works. However, the mode installs correctly in Live, and I can select it in the preferences. The only thing that works is the redbox, but it's useless.
I've been trying to look for answers in the tutorials, but I can't find a solution to my problem. Additionally, I'm not fluent in English, and sometimes I think I might be missing some small details.
Please help me!

When you upload a new script, or testing them, close Ableton 11 and reopened it. Every time.
Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, I don't think that's the issue because when I create my script, I never open Ableton, and I've already tried restarting it. I even restarted my computer, but it doesn't make a difference. However, I have Ableton Live 10.1, not 11.
As an example, I took a screenshot of the script I tried, which is properly installed on Live. I assigned the activation of the metronome to button 4. However, when I launch Live and configure my controller with the correct script, nothing happens when I press the button. Interestingly, the MIDI note from my Pacer is received correctly as I can see it in the top-right corner of Ableton.
Can you upload your script and your controller template?
First thought is that you have to load mode 1. Listener would be "script is initialized".
Here is my script and my controller template. However, what do you mean by 'loading mode 1'? Thank you.
Okay, I understood what you meant. So, I tried adding a reaction with the 'script is initialised' listener, but nothing happens. Should I add a loop, a condition, or an action? It's not as straightforward as I thought. I will really need to improve a lot to create the script I want.
I'm having this same issue and trying to find out a solution...
Ok. You do a Action.
Listener: on initialisation
Action: load Mode 1
So basically when Ableton starts up it initializes the script and you always need a mode to start from.
