Controlling a Button Group with several Buttons

Hi,

I have a button group in a VSTi that has 3 options and would like to control it with 3 separate buttons on my controller.

The button group is basically a single parameter "Key Mode" with 3 value ranges (0-42 = "Dual"; 43-84 = "Split"; 85-127 = "Whole").

It would be easy to control this parameter with one single knob on my controller. But how can I map 3 separate buttons to 3 values (0 / 64 / 127) within the ranges?

I can configure the three buttons on my controller to send these values all with the same CC number. But when I try to create a controller template in CSS with this configuration I get the message:

Controller Inputs 'Button 4'' and 'Button 5' for the attached controller have the exact same MIDI data combination (MIDI Type, Channel AND Value) . Please change the settings for one of these in the Controller Manager.

Of course, it would be perfect if the buttons on the controller would also receive LED feedback :)

Any idea how I could achieve that?

Thank you very much!
Daniel
