Using 16 endless encoders to affect parameters of CURRENTLY SELECTED track

Hello fellow users,

I own a Faderfox EC4 and was looking to create a control surface for the following task:

1. Every track in Ableton has an instrument/drum rack as its first device.
2. When a track is selected, the encoders 1-16 should control the 16 parameters of said instrument/drum rack of that particular track.
3. When another track is selected, the encoders' functions switch to controlling the 16 parameters of the first instrument/drum rack of that track.

I currently implemented the parameter changes through the

track selector > device selector > parameter bank

However, this forces me to specify a track number, binding the 16 encoders to the instrument rack parameters of that particular track.

Does anyone have a suggestion how to approach this problem?

Thank you for your kind help.
