Tracks don't recieve MIDI playing notes on keyboard. Mapping keyboard?

Hi,

I'm on CSS 2.8.1 and I'm having trouble getting sounds from Live playing the black and white keys on my keyboard. I have all the keys assigned in the controller template, they light up nicely in the template editor when a corresponding key is pressed. They are set to "Note" type. There is no option for velocity detection though, the only available option is On/Off, even though it is a velocity sensitive keyboard..

Then when I try to play an insturemnt in Live, I don't get any MIDI on the track. Live is indicating it's recieving MIDI, but not tracking MIDI. It's the same whether I select a specific MIDI channel or all ins. The track is armed, plays just fine from another keyboard.

Other controls (knobs, faders...) work just fine.

I havent found a word about mapping keyboard keys, so I assume I am either missing something or it is a bug.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

It will be the variation in velocity of the keys. Except for the "Reactions" mapping type, all other mapping types require a specific MIDI velocity value.
Are you able to set your keys to a fixed velocity value? maybe there's a 'full level' type option which plays notes at full velocity regardless of pressure received?
