Some CC Messages are ignored

Hi,

I have a strange problem that seems to be a bug, I guess:
On my Midi-controller I have a lot of pads that are configured to send Midi CC messages.
In CSS I added Pads in my Controller-template and configured them as type CC and switch-type toggle.

But some of them are not working - for example with CC value 120.
I can test that with a simple script:
I added a mapping and used Pad1 (Midi type: CC / Midi Channel = 14 / Midi Value = 122) -> everything works
Now for the same mapping I switch to Pad2 (Midi type: CC / Midi Channel = 14 / Midi Value = 120) -> the script is not working anymore

All pads are configured the same way, except the Midi-Value (Midi Type and Midi Channel stay the same)
Can someone confirm this?

Hi tmp, just to avoid misunderstandings and to be sure here;
The Midi message settings of your Midi controller are set within your Midi controller, not within CSS.

So in CSS, you have to input the values of your controller, you can not choose here. That is where the Midi Learn function comes in handy. That function 'reads' the CC values of your controller.

Most midi controllers have a pretty straightforward system when applying their Midi message settings. To me, it seems more logical that if pad1 uses Midi value 122, pad2 would use Midi value 123, but then again, that is set by (the manufacturer of) your controller.
Some controllers do allow you to change the Midi message settings internally, but most have them internally fixed.

In order to be sure, can you double-check if pad2 has Value 120 assigned to it via the Midi learning button?

Kind regards.

I have a very customizable controller (Electra.One) and there I defined a lot of toggle buttons that send custom CC messages (in my case I use CC values 90 - 127 on channel 14)
Most of them are working correctly, but for example CC Value 104 or 122 dont work.
Perhaps ableton is blocking them? Can someone try both CC values?

Hi tmp,
Ok I see, nice controller btw!
I have just tried out CC 104 and 122 on channel 14 on two knobs and they work flawlessly.
So here CSS and Ableton are ok with those CCs.
Do they show up when you midi monitor them?
See attachment.

Luckily,
Hopefully, it stays with this one time!
