[Solved] Need help: Incremental change of different Ableton tracks

Using Control Surface Studio:

I have a Beatstep and have 8 of the 16 endless rotary encoders mapped to macros in Ableton.

So MIDI Tracks 1 to 8 feature 8x the same instrument with the same parameters mapped

I switch between these tracks and want to be able to change these parameters individually.

Problem: let's say I set parameter 1 from track 1 from zero to a value of 123 with the rotary encoder of the Beatstep
Now I switch over to track2 - here parameter 1 is still set to zero
If I now twist the rotary encoder to the right it jumps immediately to 124 because.

So I guess this is because the encoder is absolute - what I want is incremental.

Unfortunately changing settings in the Remotify software has not yielded the desired effect.

I tried Absolute, Relative, ON/OFF, Increment, Decrement - didnĀ“t work :-(

Can anyone help?

Hi,
Change the 'Takeover Mode' in your mapping to either 'pickup' or 'value scaling', depending on your needs.

Hi Simon (auch Deutsch?) - stupid question: is your encoder assigned to be relative in the arturia midi control center?
I also have a beatstep and just finally dug into using remotify and finally figured out to set my other endless encoders to work without jumping around. I was wondering if you'd be willing to share how you've set them up in the midi control center - as relative 1 or 2 or 3? And do you keep your pads sending Note messages? I currently have set them up with CC but was wondering if it's as easy to use note on and offs - since I would like as many CC numbers available as possible to set up several banks.

Thanks so much!
