Script reload fails with Ableton Live 11

Happy user of Control Surface Studio here!
I have a little issue, persisting even after the update to the latest version:

It seems that I cannot do "hot updates" of the scripts, like you do on your videos: I have to exit and relaunch Ableton everytime I change the script (despite CSS telling me that the updated script is correctly installed).
I have Windows 10 and Ableton Live 11 Suite (never tested on Live 10).

Is this a known issue, or something related to my configuration?

Thank you very much.

Massimo

Hi,
This is an issue with Ableton Live 11 itself at the moment.
Because of this I still build scripts in Live 10, then create an 11 version when its ready to go - its much quicker for testing doing it this way.

Ok,
than you for the quick answer.

I will probably do the same until the issue is fixed.

What I did was I created a test project in Live that I save as default set while working with the scripts. It's got the setup and amount of channels, devices etc that I need to test but minimal content so it loads fast.

I used to do the same thing as Christian.
Although it works fine, after a while, I find it was getting too tedious for me.
As we don't know how high this item is on the update list of Ableton, I decided not to wait and followed John's advice; I installed Live 10 to do the programming. Once the script is ready, I only have to create a Live 11 version from the same script. (I have tried it and till now it works great)
Anyhow, for my workflow, I find it much less cumbersome now.
Cheers.

Hello everyone,
This issue is super annoying and destroy completely the user experience. I have an ableton live 11 licence but not a live 10. Do you know how I could workaround without a live 10 licence ?
Are you guys able to have a 10 licence for free if you have an 11 ? I have not found this info on tha ableton website, maybe I should ask them directly or search a bit more on google. If you have info about that it would be great !!!
Thanks everyone !

If you're using a Live 11 Beta version, it's possible to enable the Tools menu which includes the "Reload MIDI Remote Scripts" for working on remote scripts. To do that, in Options.txt for that beta version, just add -_ToolsMenuRemoteScripts.
