Pad vs buttons on reactions

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but listening to pad trigger events don't seem to work for me. Remapping the controller as a button works though (even though it is a touch sensitive pad).

I'm wondering - how does CSS treat the pad vs button differently? My midi controller is a WorldE panda mini, and I'm on Live 9.

thx

Hello Andrew,
While your pads are pressure sensitive, buttons are not.
If your script reacts to velocity = 127, then you would have to hit them with enough force to trigger the script.
Also, check if your pads react to 'Note' or 'CC' activities. Change in the 'Controller Template' if necessary.
Hope this can help you!

Hi Andrew, 303_ is totally right, all mapping types except reactions require an exact velocity value and as your pads are velocity sensitive you'll have a hard time hitting that exact velocity.
Have a look at using Reactions for your pads instead. Here is a video tutorial to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYtotPDoa3k&ab_channel=remotify
