Nothing happens

Hi all, I'm scratching my head here. I created a new controller template for Console 1 Softube and created a script, a simple one because I'm only starting (a mode, a decremental Highlight navigation). It installed successfully in Ableton, I even find it in the controller list in Ableton, I chose it in the list, but then nothing happens (no yellow info below in Ableton that the script is active, nothing happens when I turn the mapped knob, just nothing) The log in Control Surface Studio is empty... I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong... Keep in mind I'm a total beginner, but I tried this for days and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm on Live 11.3.3. that's what is set in CSS too.

Hi Zorabone,
I don't own a Console 1 but I heard from several sources they (Softube) use a proprietary protocol which makes it very hard to use it as an external Midi controller other than for using it with Softube software. Which is a shame really.
Do you have another controller laying around that you can test your script with?

Hello, thank you for your answers!
This is my last script and I don't have another controller to test with... I really like the Console 1, but it's true that if it's hard to use it as an external Midi controller, it's a bit of a bummer...
Greetings

Hi Zorabone,
There is not much to see (wrong) in that script. Every time you push the assigned button, the highlighted track should move to the right.
If your controller template is well-defined, this should work!
Please check if you have set up the controller template correctly. (https://youtu.be/VOddX46Vtaw?t=333 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpQQy-RCmN0)
Hope this works for you but tbh the proprietary protocol is what kept me away from this particular controller, it was on my list till I heard about the issues.
Let us know if this helps in any way.
Greetings
