New Blank Script - Midi Fighter Twister

I'm at my wit's end. Using a midi fighter twister with Live 11. I've been able to get knobs to work when creating new midi scripts, but buttons are not working for some reason. I've followed the steps for mapping simple things like "solo" and "mute" functions to no avail. I'm wondering if the new scripts I'm creating are somehow interfering with the stock script. Whenever I install a new script, it seems that it's just overwriting a portion of the original Twister script (all other buttons and knobs have their original functions). How can I create a new script so that every bank, knob and button is zeroed out and empty?
