Modifying an existing controller script

Hello everybody,

I use an AKAI APC40 mkII in my setup and I use a most of the features but I would just alter some of the buttons and knobs that doesn't make any sense in my live setup.

Is it possible to keep the functionalities of most of the APC out of the box and just change the buttons with CSS I want to alter without having to reprogram all other buttons and knobs?

I hope my question makes sense and hope there is a possibility.

Cheers, Reyn.

Hi Reyn,

If I am not mistaken you can create a custom 'controller template' with only the controllers you want. The controllers which are not in that 'controller template' should work as normal.
You will need to have both scripts enabled (Ableton Live - Preferences - Midi ; one that came with 'Live' (the standard "APC40 MkII") and one with the CSS script you created.)

Let us know how it goes.
Greetings Wim
