Map Midi Controller to specific Device

Hi,

I got a question, In my personalized Audio/Midi Tracks, there are some specific effects saved as standard presets. so is it possible to control one specific of them directly when there are more effects at the same track ?

Lets say I got an EQ / Filter on every track that i want to be mapped directly on my midi controller without selecting it in the chain of effects ?

Hi,

If understand correctly, rather than controlling the selected device, you can creating a device parameter mapping which controls a specific device on a specific track (for example, device 3 on track 2).
Or you can set it to control a specific device on the selected track, (for example, you can set it to control the third device on whichever track is selected).

Is that of any help?

Hi John, would be working in general but lets say if i got to control the first device (3 Band EQ) on an audio track i can map the knobs of my MIDI Mix to do that. But if I've got a Midi channel, the first device is the vst, so I need to change the device No to control the EQ, is there any possibility to controll the selected device on any channel (selection with mouse) ?

Thanks and a nice week end to the community,

Alex

Lets say is it possible to map knobs of a device (in my case AKAI MIDIMIX) to a specific Effect on Audio/MIDI Tracks ? (I wish to control a 3Band/8Band EQ on every track, wether audio/midi) Thats what I meant to "lock" knobs on specific effect devices, hope its clearer now :)

Thanks John !

Hi Alex,

"is there any possibility to controll the selected device on any channel (selection with mouse)"
Yes indeed! when you create a device parameter mapping:
for "track type" choose "selected"
and "device chain number" choose "selected".
This mapping will then control the currently selected device - which you can select with the mouse.

With regards to "lock", we don't currently have this functionality available. We're working on it though :)

Thanks

John
