How to get LEDs to inherit opening mute state

Hey all,

Love this software. Got my Akai MIDIMix to do pretty much exactly what I was hoping: having the mute buttons control different (not chronological) tracks. LEDs match Ableton when I'm muting things on/off. Perfect. Only thing is when I open up Ableton, some of the tracks are unmuted and ready to play but all LEDs show muted on my MIDIMix. The MIDIMix LEDs won't inherit the opening state of the tracks in Ableton when I open the project. Once I punch the buttons, they sync up (ie, the unmuted tracks mute, matching the muted status on my controller, then with the next push, they both light up active). Any ideas on how I can get the MIDIMix LEDs to inherit the opening mute state of my tracks?

Thanks!
Joey

Hi Joey,

You can add a reaction which sends LED feedback to the button when the script is initialised.
I've attached the completed script / reaction to this post.

Listener: script > script initialised

You will need to save a value to a modifier based on if the mute is true and false. This requires adding 2 actions.

Then a third action which sends the value of the modifier to the input.
Action: MIDI controller > send MIDI velocity value to input
Controller Input: (select input: midi controller > INPUT NAME)
Velocity Value: select the modifier. script > modifiers > MODIFIER NAME

See the attached script which contains the required reaction.
Note: you will need to select the button AND the track number in the conditions for the first 2 actions (this is done by opening the 'path' menu.
