How to Control Tempo with Inc/Dec Encoders

How can I increase the tempo of ableton by let's say 0,1bom using the incremental/decremental encoders on the APC40mk2?

It sends midi information of 127 velocity one way, and 1 the other way.

I can only get the tempo to move to max and min of my range in ableton 11.

Please assist!

try to change the method of midi sending in your controller template, relative or absolute
try relative, left value 1 right value 127 and steps to 127
