[Fixed] Can't import Controller files

So I purchased the app yesterday and so far am enjoying it (I'll make a separate post about feature requests and whatnot...), but one horribly major issue for me is that I can't seem to import any JSON files at all.

For example, if I export the DJ TT MIDI Fighter Twister and then try to import it immediately, I get the error "System - not json files", and putting the file through a linter doesn't show any errors. If I modify the file at all, same issue. Looking through the forum I see a similar post, but that was for the previous version and the original post didn't seem to have the same issue I'm having. (And yes, I am importing the files on the controller tab, not the scripts tab).

A question: If I expand/reformat the file (still JSON/linter compliant, but with line breaks and spaces) will that work with CSS?

I have attached the line break/8 space file and the export-immediately-import file that both fail.

Thank you for your time.

Hi there,

I just tested both json files and was able to import them without problem.
Are you on Windows or Mac?

I must apologize for my lack of detail. I am running Windows 10 Pro (1803 Update), with only Windows Defender as my Anti-virus solution.

I'm having the same (or similar) problem, Windows 10 Pro. I can import the controller files available "From Remotify". When I export a controller json file and try to import the same un-changed json file, I get an orange popup window that says "system not json files". json file attached.

Hello John -

Running into the same issue here on a Win10 machine - has this been resolved?

This issue occurs with both my own script and exports of the My First Script and sendstorm files - receive the same orange "system not json files"

Thanks

Hi,

Have you updated to the latest version (2.5.2)?
This was fixed a while a go.
Well not so much a fix, more that now the error is more descriptive and tells you why it didn't work. The reason usually being that you are trying to import a script file into the controller manager or controller file into the script manager.

I tested the mftwister.json file you attached and could import it without any issue.

I can confirm that this issue has been fixed on Windows 10. I am able to import and export scripts/json all day long without issue. If there is a way to close this, let us do so.

thank you very much,

I'm running into this same issue. CSS 2.5.2, Windows 10 Pro 1909. Made sure that I imported scripts in the Script Manager mode and controllers in the Controller Manager mode. I get the "system not json files" either way. I can even export a controller or script and immediately try re-import them and get the same error. Anything I can look at to provide more details?
