I've tried to download CSS but every time my browser says the file contains a virus and won't save the file to my download folder. I'm using MS Edge on Windows 10. Does anyone know a way round this?
The file that downloads for Windows is an executable file (ControlSurfaceStudio.exe). Most browsers are rightly very suspicious of executable files because that kind of file could be anything.
It is likely your Windows or Edge "security settings" are set to completely block executable files from downloading. If you didn't know this already, think long and hard about changing your security settings just to get this or any piece of software.
If you choose to proceed, and you succeed in downloading the file, you can right-click on the ControlSurfaceStudio.exe file icon and select "Scan with Microsoft Security Essentials" to verify the file is free of any issues MSE scans for. If you remain suspicious after MSE clears the file, you could try running ControlSurfaceStudio.exe inside the new (in Win 10 and 11) "Windows Sandbox" area the first few times you use it..
