In version 2.5 of Control Surface Studio we added Custom LED Feedback options for Controllers, Scripts and the vast majority of Mapping Types.
Controller Level: Default LED Feedback Settings
LED Feedback works in a hierarchical way.
Each Controller has its own Default LED On and LED Off settings. If all other settings are set to ‘Default’ (at the Script and Mapping Levels which we will explain next) then these settings will be used....
To install your Script into Ableton Live, click the Orange Install button located to the right of your script name. The message “New Script Installed Successfully” will be displayed in a green box on the right hand side....
The Script Manager is the area where you create and manage all of your custom Ableton MIDI Remote Scripts (we will refer to them as ‘Scripts’ for short). Although the Script Manager displays by default, to display it click on the Script Manager Icon in the left column and the Script Manager will appear in the black column (Manager Area) to the right....
A ‘Controller Template’ in Control Surface Studio is a virtual representation of a physical MIDI Controller i.e. an Akai APC40, Novation Launchpad, Ableton Push.
The Controller Template contains all of the required MIDI Message data for the Midi Controller.
It's important to note that Controller Templates don't actually contain any of your custom Ableton live functionality....

This tutorial is in answer to a question in the Forum from user ddr, regarding our App Control Surface Studio.
“how would I set the LED in a button depending on the On/Off status of a device.
LED is set by a note on message, velocity=0 for off, velocity=1 for on.”
