Akai MPK249 Red Box

First off, I have not purchased Control Surface Studio, but if it can do the following, I definitely will. I have an Akai MPK249 and which has faders, a rotary, and a track arm button for 8 tracks. It works great for the first 8 tracks. I would like it to be able to use the controls on other sets of tracks as well, but it currently does not have red box support. Would I be able to use something like the clyphX command:
CS"MPK49" RING T9 S12;
to move the red box so that the faders and other controls map to track 9 - 16 once red box support is added through CSS? The ClyphX command works for the Push 2, but right now the MPK249's controls are pinned to track 1-8 and I don't see a way to have them control any other tracks.

Thanks!

Well...I took the plunge without an answer and bought the software knowing that there is a 30 day money back guarantee if things didn't work. I did get it working and I'm able to control the box using ClyphX. Basically I have a set of midi clips that I use to control my live set that I'm using for performance to navigate the project to each song in my set. I needed to be able to move where the track controls were managing the tracks based on which song was active.

I followed the instructions from the red box video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbWwmy395Vc) and had to make some tweaks to make things work. In the video it didn't seem to be required to create track volume controls to map the slider to volume, but I had to do that. Looking back, I can see how it would be required, but it would be nice to have that called out in the video.

I found a couple of other idiosyncrasies with the software that I will post about separately with a CSS Bugs tag.

I have a video up on youtube called "Ableton Live Solo Performance Set Walk Through" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjigXYHMRJM) which I plan on releasing a new one with an updated strategy for live performance. I'll put some info on how I mapped the Akai MPK249 using CSS and possibly a video on how I created the template and scripts for it using CSS.
