Ableton Automation Undo issue

I've created my script and everything seems to be working well. T

here seems to be an issue with undo in ableton however. if I record automation, then stop the transport and press undo it only removes the last automation point. If i press undo again, then it steps backwards one point at a time which is tedious. Is there a way to have ctrl+z work as intended with other controller scripts? (recording automation using my novation as an example, pressing ctrl+z 3 times will remove the clip)

thanks!

Is this UNDO bug something you are able to recreate on your end or is this as intended?

Hi there,

Is this a bug with a script you have created or Ableton Live itself?

This is a script that I have created myself. Using undo for automation removes each individual control point at a time. Could it be an issue with my script?

Your script is likely working correctly. This will be how undo works with scripts.

Thanks for your reply.

Is it possible to make a feature request so that Undo works to remove all recorded automation as in other scripts? Touchable Pro for example has a Studio Mode which when activated "will block the creation of extraneous undo points while sending control-commands." https://community.zerodebug.com/t/osx-latest-server-scripts-package-428/460

If it's not possible, any suggestion you could make that would help with a workflow that would allow me to record a clip with automation and then quickly delete it using the MF Twister if i want to play it again?
